Go Taiwan – Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all bookings made with Go Taiwan Transport (“Go Taiwan”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking or using our services, you (“customer”, “you”, “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. General
Go Taiwan provides private charter, airport transfer, and day-trip transport services using licensed local drivers and vehicles.
All services are subject to availability at the time of booking.
Go Taiwan reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. The version applicable to your booking is the one in force at the time your booking is confirmed.
2. Booking & Confirmation
Bookings must be made through our official channels (website, messaging apps, or authorised agents).
When making a booking, you must provide accurate information, including:
Full name
Contact number
Date and time of service
Pick-up and drop-off locations
Number of passengers and luggage
A booking is only considered confirmed after:
We have issued a confirmation message or voucher; and
Any required deposit or full payment has been received (where applicable).
You are responsible for checking all details on the confirmation. Any errors must be reported to us as soon as possible.
3. Pricing, Surcharges & Extra Pick-Up / Drop-Off Points
Prices quoted are based on:
The service type (airport transfer, point-to-point, day charter, etc.)
Vehicle type
Standard pick-up and drop-off areas within the defined city/zone.
Prices generally include:
Vehicle and driver
Fuel
Toll fees and standard parking, unless otherwise stated.
Extra Pick-Up / Drop-Off Points (Within the Same City)
Additional pick-up or drop-off stops along the way may incur extra charges.
The surcharge depends on distance, detour required, and waiting time.
Extra Pick-Up / Drop-Off Points in Further Areas (Outside Main City Zone)
For pick-up or drop-off locations that are farther away from the main city area, a surcharge may apply.
This typically includes mountain areas, outskirts, or more remote districts.
Example: For a service priced for Taipei City, pick-up or drop-off at Yangmingshan or Tamsui may be subject to an additional surcharge due to distance and road conditions.
The exact surcharge will be clearly informed and agreed upon before you confirm the booking.
All fees are charged in New Taiwan Dollar (TWD) unless otherwise specified.
4. Waiting Time & Overtime (OT)
Free Waiting Time
For standard pick-up points (hotel, city address):
A 15-minute grace period is provided from the scheduled pick-up time.
For airport pick-ups, a separate grace period may apply and will be stated in your booking (e.g. based on actual landing time).
When OT is Charged
If the driver is required to wait more than 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time (or agreed grace period), Overtime (OT) charges will apply.
OT is charged in blocks of 30 minutes, rounded up to the next block.
OT Rates
5-seater:
TWD 600 per hour
TWD 300 per 30 minutes
9-seater:
TWD 700 per hour
TWD 350 per 30 minutes
Mercedes-Benz Vito:
TWD 700 per hour
TWD 350 per 30 minutes
OT may apply in situations including (but not limited to):
Passenger late for pick-up beyond the 15-minute grace period
Extra unplanned stops requested during the journey
Significant itinerary changes extending the original booked duration
If waiting time or OT becomes excessive, the driver and Go Taiwan reserve the right to end the service, and no refund will be provided for unused time.
5. Changes, Amendments & Cancellations
Note: Adjust the timeframes and percentages below to match your actual internal policy if they differ.
Customer-Requested Changes
Changes to date, time, route, or vehicle type are subject to availability.
Price adjustments may apply if the new request differs from the original booking.
Cancellations by Customer (example policy – edit as needed)
More than 72 hours before service: full refund (minus any payment processing fees, if applicable).
24–72 hours before service: 50% of total fee is chargeable.
Less than 24 hours before service or no-show: 100% of total fee is chargeable, no refund.
Cancellations by Go Taiwan
If we must cancel due to vehicle breakdown, driver emergency, extreme weather, or other unavoidable reasons, we will:
Inform you as soon as reasonably possible, and
Provide either a full refund or arrange an alternative vehicle / operator where available.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.
6. Passenger Responsibilities
You must ensure:
Your contact number is reachable (e.g. with roaming, data, or local SIM).
You are present at the agreed pick-up point at the agreed time.
You are responsible for:
Your travel documents, visas, and entry requirements.
Ensuring your itinerary allows sufficient time for travel and check-in (e.g. for flights).
Alcohol, smoking, and illegal substances are not allowed in the vehicle.
If any passenger behaves in a way that is unsafe, abusive, or disruptive, the driver may terminate the service immediately with no refund.
7. Luggage, Child Seats & Special Requests
You must inform us of:
Number and size of luggage pieces
Bulky items (e.g. strollers, wheelchairs, sports equipment)
If luggage exceeds the vehicle’s safe capacity, the driver may:
Refuse to load excess items, or
Propose an upgrade to a larger vehicle with additional charges.
Child Seats
If available, child seats must be requested in advance and may incur additional charges.
Local regulations may require children below a certain height/age to use child seats or boosters.
We cannot guarantee accommodation of special requests (e.g. specific driver, route preference), but will do our best where possible.
8. Flight Delays & Airport Pick-Ups
For airport pick-ups, you must provide:
Correct flight number
Scheduled arrival time
We will monitor flight status as far as reasonably possible.
In case of reasonable flight delays, we will:
Adjust pick-up time where possible, and
Inform you if additional waiting or OT charges may apply.
For major delays, diversions, or cancellations, Go Taiwan may:
Treat the booking as a no-show if not informed in time, or
Offer a re-scheduled service with possible additional charges.
9. Limitation of Liability
Go Taiwan acts as a coordinator between customers and local drivers / operators.
While we carefully select our partners, we are not responsible for:
Loss or damage to personal belongings in the vehicle
Delays caused by traffic, accidents, road closures, weather, or other external factors
In all cases, our maximum liability is limited to the total amount paid for the affected service.
10. Force Majeure
Go Taiwan is not liable for failure to perform, or delay in performing, any obligation under these Terms if such failure or delay is due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, government actions, pandemics, road closures, or major traffic incidents.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall, where possible, be resolved amicably. If not resolved, they shall be submitted to the competent courts in Taiwan.
